Interactions with drugs

Thiamin InteractionsAlcohol reduces thiamin absorption and conversion to the biologically active form. Digoxin, indomethacin, anticonvulsants, antacids and some diuretics may lead to the risk of deficiency. Smoking, caffeine, sulfa drugs and estrogen may also raise thiamin requirements.
