Echinacea is used for: Breast pain, bronchitis, burns, colds, coughing, fever, flu, HIV, immune system depression, infections (including listeria, Lyme disease, trichomoniasis, and typhus), meningitis, mouth inflammation, mumps, pharyngitis, respiratory problems, urinary tract infections, white blood cell insufficiency (leukopenia), wounds.

Possible Echinacea health Side Effects: Generally, do not use echinacea for longer than two weeks. If you are treating a chronic immune-system condition, the usual recommendation is eight weeks of treatment followed by one week off. Consult with your physician before taking echinacea if you are pregnant or nursing. Combine echinacea with an equal amount of uva ursi to treat cystitis (urinary tract infections).
