Mainly a woman's herb, black haw herb is often combined with crampbark. This white-flowered shrub is native to North America, and Native Americans have long taken advantage of its bark for gynecologic problems. The plant grows up to 30 feet tall on hillsides, in wooded areas, and along shores and streams from Connecticut west to Michigan and south to Florida and Texas.
